Quarter-finalist in the 2012 International Blues Challenge held in Memphis, Tennessee. Dirty plays as a one man band in his own very innovative way. He has a vast repertoire of originals and original versions of covers and will never play a song the same way twice giving you a different show every time. Some of his influences include diverse styles of Snooks Eaglin, Lightnin’ Hopkins, and Big Bill Broonzy, piano players James Booker, Dr. John, and Ray Charles, harmonica players Junior Wells, James Cotton and Sonny Boy Williamson, and even soul singers like Sam Cooke,Otis Redding and James Brown. With this love for blues and blues based music, Shawn took the best of each influence and created a style all his own that can be described as a blend of blues – raw and dirty.

REVERBNATION

We’re celebrating this weekend with additions to our menu to include Mexican-American dishes. Friday is downtown Williamsport’s First Friday of the month which means extra activities will be going on. We will be featuring our already popular menu along with Cinco de Mayo dishes on both Friday and Saturday night. The Flipside will be playing on Saturday night. The weather is supposed to be awesome so we hope everyone will come downtown and celebrate with us. It may not be a traditional American holiday, but it sure is a fun one!

The Flipside

Coming this Saturday to Rumrunners

Slinging sweet sounds, melodic hooks, and killer looks, Mal Scoppa and the Tall Tales are a driving force in todays folk scene. Comprised of central Pennsylvania’s finest folks, these musicians will keep your ear all night.
This all original project started by Mallory Scoppa has taken off in a short period of time, gaining great responses everywhere they go. She is joined by John Shively on guitar and violin, Jimmy Lovcik on bass, and Jimmy Dougherty on drums and percussion.

Their music has a fun twist on folk, bluegrass and rock. They have been known to throw in a spin on a cover tune or two as well. Scoppa’s voice is a driving force that will gather the attention of the room at first breath. Paired with Shively’s melodic fiddle and the back-beat of Lovcik and Dougherty, the Tall Tales will catch you by surprise with these sweet, sweet tunes of life and love as we know it.
